After my master's in sociology and literature in Zagreb, Croatia, I ended up in journalism. It was my dream job. I grew and grew, until one day I couldn't grow anymore.
Then came a period I don't talk about much. I wasn't loving my job. I was correcting subtitles, going from the fast, dynamic life of a journalist to a 9 to 5 desk. It was a big change, and not the kind I had hoped for.
I fell in love. He was Italian. We dated for two years, and then I moved to Milan.
I started from zero: a new city, a new language, and the search for the best job I could find. After two Italian courses, I knew I had to speed up. So I signed up for a marketing course, 9 to 5, in Italian, surrounded by Italians.
Every day in that classroom was hard. I was the only foreigner, sitting among Italians, trying to keep up with every word. Most evenings I came home exhausted and frustrated with my Italian. But slowly, I was getting better. After that course, I did another one: four more weeks of full immersion.
And then one evening was different. I came home, and instead of being frustrated with my Italian, I simply started speaking it. Just like that.
That's where my marketing career in Italy began.
In 2020, I moved to Germany and became a mom.
Motherhood was a reinvention of its own. Everything I knew about my time, my energy and my priorities shifted, and I had to understand all over again how I function now, what I need, and who I am in this new role.
Today I work in people and culture, helping others grow through change, something I know from the inside.
My reinvention never stops.
